I read the quotation or PI for red flags: a price outside a realistic range, vague specifications, or terms that shift the risk onto you.
You get comments on the price, the payment terms and the delivery risk, so you can negotiate or walk away with reasons in hand.
This is a desk check done from documents and company records. It is the first filter before a deposit, at a fixed fee.
A photo of the business card and the price list from the stand is enough to start. If something is missing, I'll tell you what to ask the supplier for.
